I have a ridiculously easy and incredibly tasty How To for you today! It's how to poach an egg perfectly in the microwave - in less than one minute.
That's right, under a minute and it's SO EASY.
I'm no chef and until recently, every time I tried to poach an egg it ended up either hard all the way through from the microwave (in one of those poaching cups), or completely messed up floating around in a saucepan full of water.
But a few days ago I did some reading up on it and realised I could combine both of these methods into one!
I can use the microwave and a little bit of water to achieve the perfect poached egg with hardly any effort - just how I like it ;)
Take a look below:
If you're trying this at home, you may need to change the cooking time slightly - my microwave is 1100 watts and yours may be higher or lower. But if you use a small bowl and stick to a half cup of cold water (just tap water temperature, not fridge), you'll get there in a couple of tries.
Let me know how you go with it!
